Pre-OSHA Compliance Surveys:
Making Workplace Safety a Priority, Not a Penalty
Keep every location inspection-ready with independent quarterly OSHA compliance surveys conducted by FSU surveyors. Our process is objective, consistent, and designed for multi-unit operations nationwide.
FSU surveyors assess all 91 compliance points across your retail portfolio using a standardized survey aligned with federal OSHA standards. Each finding feeds into a remediation plan developed with our EHS partner and carried out by Vision Infrastructure Solutions, which covers everything from life-safety corrections to vertical transport repairs. All other repairs are routed to your preferred maintenance provider.
How It Works
Independent FSU Survey
Every inspection is conducted by a trained, independent FSU surveyor — not store staff or internal personnel. Utilizing a third-party surveyor reduces bias, ensures consistency across locations, and delivers findings that can withstand regulatory review.
EHS Partner Remediation Planning
Survey findings go directly to our EHS partner, who develops a prioritized corrective action plan for each location. Risk management receives a complete submission package within 10 business days of the inspection.
Remediation Work Execution
Approved remediation work is assigned for field execution through Vision Infrastructure Solutions for life-safety and vertical transport corrections, or through your preferred maintenance provider for all other repairs, helping to close deficiencies through a coordinated, end-to-end solution.
Additional Features
Photo Documentation Log — Every non-compliant item is documented with a time-to-date photo filed by store code and quarter, creating a defensible audit trail for risk management and legal review.
Deficiency Log & Corrective Action Plan — Each NO response generates a tracked line item with responsible party, required corrective action, and target completion date.
Compliance Rating Scale — Locations are automatically scored and classified as Compliant, Needs Attention, or Non-Compliant, with defined re-inspection timelines and escalation thresholds.
State Plan Flagging — Surveyors are alerted to verify stricter requirements in OSHA State Plan jurisdictions including CA, WA, OR, and MI, so no location is assessed against the wrong standard.
Benefits for You
Unbiased findings you can act on.
Independent FSU surveyors remove internal pressure and self-reporting risk, giving leadership an accurate picture of every location's compliance posture.
A complete solution from survey to close-out.
FSU, our EHS partner, and Vision Infrastructure Solutions operate as an integrated team — so findings don't live in a spreadsheet, they get fixed.
Protect your people, your locations, and your business.
A documented, third party-verified safety program reduces injury exposure, limits regulatory liability, and demonstrates good-faith compliance effort at every level.
Show OSHA the work, not just the intention.
When an inspector arrives, you have a paper trail that includes quarterly surveys, photo documentation, corrective action logs, and completed repairs, proving that hazards were identified, tracked, and resolved before their visit. That documented good-faith effort can be the difference between a citation and a conversation.
